Hello, this is the GIST College HOUSE Student Council.

Regarding the operation of the [Fitness Room] on the 2nd floor of the Undergraduate Dormitory (Building A), the [GIST Facilities Operations Team] has reviewed the current operating conditions and determined that it may be difficult to meet the sports instructor staffing requirements prescribed under applicable laws and regulations. Accordingly, to ensure user safety and comply with relevant regulations, operations of the undergraduate dormitory [Fitness Room] will be discontinued, and the space will be repurposed as a replacement facility.

To reflect the opinions of dormitory residents in reviewing replacement facility options, we will conduct a survey as follows:

Survey Eligibility: All undergraduate dormitory residents

Survey Topic: Preferred replacement facility for the Fitness Room

Survey Period: Thu, Feb 5, 2026 – Thu, Feb 12, 2026, 23:59 (KST)

Note: The survey results will be used as reference material in the overall review process, which will take into consideration facility conditions, safety standards, budget, and operational feasibility. The final operating plan and schedule will be announced separately.
