Hello, this is Infoteam, the team responsible for the development and maintenance of Ziggle.
We are writing to inform you that Ziggle will transition to a login-based service through an upcoming update. We would like to share the reasons behind this decision.
Ziggle was launched to eliminate the hassle of manually checking various academic notice boards and to provide an efficient campus communication channel that replaces cluttered group chat rooms.
However, Infoteam has recently grown concerned that many posts on Ziggle contain sensitive personal information—such as phone numbers, email addresses, and social media accounts—which can currently be accessed by external users (non-GIST members) without logging in.
To protect your valuable information, we have revised Ziggle’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which now requires a mandatory consent process from all users.
To systematically manage these consents and prevent the unauthorized access or misuse of personal information by outsiders, Infoteam has decided to mandate logging in via an "Infoteam Account" (GIST email-based login service)
This update is expected to take effect in approximately two weeks. Please keep this change in mind when using the service during the remaining period.
